PACEMD advances good governance through policy advocacy, environmental governance, climate policy engagement, and support for sustainable development frameworks across Africa. We believe that transparent, accountable, and inclusive governance systems are essential for environmental conservation, resilient communities, and long-term prosperity.
Our work focuses on strengthening policies and institutional systems that promote sustainable urban planning, responsible natural resource management, climate resilience, and implementation of global and regional environmental commitments such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), UNFCCC, and biodiversity conservation frameworks.
Through partnerships with governments, civil society, communities, and development stakeholders, PACEMD promotes evidence-based decision-making and meaningful public participation in development processes. We support initiatives that empower communities, strengthen environmental accountability, and encourage inclusive leadership at local, national, and regional levels.
PACEMD also advocates for policies that protect ecosystems, promote sustainable cities and municipalities, and support resilient livelihoods for vulnerable populations.
